1. Program Overview
This program provides small financial grants and refurbished laptops to students and others in need.
The goal is to build skills and confidence that lead to sustainable employment and personal growth.
Grants consist of a laptop, a financial grant, or both.
2. Participation
Applicants are encouraged to select one of the 3 areas of focus listed below and prepare a brief plan for review by the mentor. A first draft of the plan will be provided by ChatGPT.
3. Eligibility
Applicants are usually students aged 15–25 with financial need, currently enrolled or planning to continue their education or vocational training. Applicants must be referred by a mentor, teacher, or community leader.
4. Mentor
Mentors play an essential role in identifying those in need and providing encouragement. Mentors should:
Nominate students and others who would benefit from a laptop or grant.
Help with the application.
Participate in delivering the award.
Review the plan prepared by the student and offer suggestions.
